Between the 21st of March and 9th of May 1946, Squadron Leader R.M. McKay
toured New Zealand centres in this country's first jet aircraft putting on displays

A No. 75 Squadron Mosquito NZ2331 took part and crashed after
the display, killing both crew

Operation Long Trek Two
No. 14 Squadron RNZAF based in Cyprus was chosen to provide an aerobatic
team for a "CoronationTour" of East Africa. Five aircraft deployed to Kenya,
four to Tanganyika, and six went to Uganda. This was the first visit by
RNZAF aircraft to Equatorial Africa.
